Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. The app saves your progress to an account it makes for you the first time you open it. Signing in with Apple or Google (Settings → Account) keeps that progress safe if you lose or change your phone.

I got a new phone. How do I get my progress back?

If you signed in on your old phone, open the app on the new one, tap "I already have an account" on the welcome screen, and sign in the same way (Apple or Google).

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete account. That deletes your account and everything saved to it. It can't be undone.

Why does the app need the microphone?

To practice speaking: your cat listens to what you say. Watch together also uses it to hear the show you're watching. You can turn the microphone off in iOS Settings → Dooboo; you can then type your answers instead, and everything else keeps working.

My cat can't hear me.

Check that the microphone is on for the app in iOS Settings → Dooboo, and that no call or other app is using it. Speak close to the phone in a quiet place.

How do reminders work?

Your cat sends at most one a day, around the time you usually practice, and only on days you haven't practiced yet. Turn them on or off in Settings → Reminders.

What happens to what I say and write?

It's used to make your lessons and your cat's replies, through AI providers, and saved to your account as part of your progress. See the Privacy Policy.

How does Watch together work?

Start it before you put a Korean show on. When you didn't catch a line, tap "What did they say?" (in the app or on the Lock Screen) and your cat explains the last thing said. The audio stays on your phone, except the 15 seconds before each tap, and it's deleted when you stop.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Dooboo. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds go through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
